Our clutter is simply overflowing each week. There’s paper — old newspapers, magazines, information booklets, and printing papers. There are bottles, glass containers, aluminum cans and all kinds of plastic and even old, unusable domestic device. I couldn’t deal with them easily since hubby is the one responsible of bringing in more and more of that garbage. We don’t have a storage room so temporarily, it has been occupying at least one-half of our garage space and it’s the first sight you see once you enter the gate. I just hate the sight of it everyday. I constantly nag him about when he’s going to dispose all that garbage.
I was happy that our barangay asked the residents last Saturday for old clothes and stuff that could still be used. I have one big box in the garage for give-away. Aside from that, I told hubby that before Christmas, whether he likes it or not, he needs to dispose or sell the paper clutter or else, I’ll burn them all.
So that’s the first thing they did last Saturday, sorting and segregating the paper stuff. I was very pleased to see hubby and son working together and seeing the garage being cleaned up. First, they gathered all plastics and aluminum cans to sell it in the Toril Junkshop. They went home in the morning with 400+ pesos. Before lunch, they again loaded the paper stuff and off they went to Bales (I’m not sure of the name) near Sobrecarey Street at Obrero to sell it. They came back with 600+ pesos and some food and entertainment. All I thought was these were useless items that need to be thrown away. This coming weekend, our target is to clear up 100% of the clutter in the garage and ask our neighbor-carpenter to build a small storage before Christmas. Like everyone else, we want to live in an organized home this coming New year.
